The district of Saptari is a Terai in south-eastern Nepal. The district, with Rajbiraj as its district headquarters covers a region of 1,363 km² and contains a population (2011) of 639,284. This makes it among the highest 10 most populated districts in Nepal. Saptari district is thought for its agricultural efficiency, with the river Sapt Koshi flowing through it. Saptari is edged by India to the south, Siraha to the east, Udaypur to the north & Sunsari to the west. The inhabitants of Saptari are in the main Madhesis, Bhramans, Baniyas, Newars, and Muslims.

Chinnamasta Bhagawati: This temple is located in Chinnamasta VDC that is 10km far away from the headquarter of Saptari. This temple is known for Hindu pilgrims individuals from India and Nepal used to visit this temple often.
Kankalini Temple: Kankalini Temple is a temple dedicated to the deity Durga and situated in Bardah VDC. Like most of the other Shakti Peethas in Nepal, this temple, too, encompasses a legend attached to that. According to the legend, the individuals settled in Bhardaha village had begun to use the land for farming, however, while excavation, some farmers had found a stone sculpture carved fantastically with the image of goddess Durga and in this very place, this temple is alleged to have been building.
