Staying with us, a local family in our home makes a homestay more than simply accommodation. Home staying with us is a life experience.

Being our guest means enjoying a nice place to stay in Kathmandu, near the city center, in a four-story building with a Nepali family who is willing to make everyone’s visit to Nepal a fulfilling experience because we want all our guests to feel part of our family, our traditions and culture while discovering our beautiful country. Nepal has much more than mountains to offer and us the people of this country can show all of it.

The rooms are big and comfy. All the furniture, mattress and sheets are fresh, clean and new. The house is a four-story building in a quiet neighborhood, with views of the valley and the Langtang mountains right from the rooftop. The guests have their twin rooms fully furnished with two sides windows, plenty of natural light and some views of the city, plus fresh air brought by some of the fields near the house. The family lives in the two highest floors and guests one below with one small kitchen with amenities and a big bathroom to share between the guests. That way we ensure your privacy and independence when you need it.

While staying at Anita’s Homestay, you can choose to have some of the daily meals with us under request. Hence, you’re free to come home for lunch or not. There is also a small kitchen at guests’ disposal.

About our family: Homestay

This family is large, full of joy, open-minded and ready to share. There are three kids, who go to school every morning, but love to play and have fun every second they can. So if you have kids, playing together is a great way to learn about each other’s cultures. Anita, myself, am the householder, the mother and the keeper of the house with my husband who works in Thamel. Granny and brother live also here and they are quiet but adorable people.

Everyone in the house has work and things to do during the day, but we all try to meet early in the morning for breakfast and later in the day for dinner. During the day people come and go according to each one’s schedule. Weekends are to enjoy, so if there is no social event going on we try to go on day trips around the valley as much as we can.
